Quite a few people are running into error pages that suggest they register an account when trying to add data or post on forums and the solution seems to be that they have done the further authentication but didn't do the initial email authentication:

This should be caught somewhere in the process before it gets to the point of causing general confusion:
* Remind people to authenticate their email address before they can do more authentication:
http://www.imdb.com/help/additional_a...
* Flag up on the error page that the reason they are seeing it might be because they haven't authenticated their email and link them on to somewhere they can get it resent if needed.
That should head these problems off at the pass.
