Return the original rating of movies & TV series

This new update is now showing the aggregate score in the top rated movies & TV series' lists. Now I have to individually go to each titles' page to know the real score. Before the update, the original scores were shown on those lists; which was a big advantage of IMDb Android app over the desktop site.

Hi Imitiaz,

Could you please provide us with an example so we can investigate further? Screenshots would be preferred (if possible).

Thanks in advance!

Forrest Gump (1994) and The Empire Strikes Back (1980) both have 8.8 rating; but on the list it shows 8.7; which is the aggregate/ adjusted score. I have to individually tap each of them to know the real score, and whether it's changed or not.

Thanks for confirming! This is correct, we have corrected the data source on the lists in-app to the data set that truly represents the top lists on IMDb. I apologize if this is causing any inconvenience, and have shared your feedback with the Android app team.

Hi Ed,
This is by design - we limit ratings on the top lists to only the most reliable sources of ratings.
