I have had a bad review from a fellow actor who also supports remain. He has written a troll review on Amazon and using a different name on IMDB yesterday wrote another and got someone else to mark the film down. Is this fair to be able to attack the person and not the film this way.

You really have a huge problem. What is happening is anyone can tactically attack someone's film with Amazons permission. I wouldn't expect Amazon to have the resources to look into every complaint or want to but I do believe that something needs to be done Either stop reviews altogether unless it can be monitored or a few cases highlighted and shown intolerance to that sort of behaviour. Because otherwise its sending out the wrong message that trolling is allowed and reflects badly on Amazon and Imdb. Not only are these people are wrong you fail to see many spend large sums of money I myself spend thousands on Amazon.

Of course if you have an option to like your own film then you will use that. I think most would feel their own film is good before uploading it. You can very easily predict the trolls are going to try and get your film unwatched. You really seem to dislike indie film makers Have you ever made a film? Do you know how much work goes into one? Sitting in an edit chair from 8am to 12 midnight everyday for months on end. To give you something for free. Yes we are hoping for fame and fortune and to show what we can do. When the haters take all that down because they selfishly target your film Maybe a crew member r actor from another film trying to get rid of competition. I spent thousands on these films so people like you can tell me I deserve the haters for daring to object when trolls can be easily identified. Shame on you Ed. I'm a massive fan of independent stuff but I have seen better quality in porn than this. Who ever gave this 5 stars aren't those embarrassed
to be associated with this diarrhoea whicis probably the director who is playing the lead and dubbed most of his lines
You have not read what I do here. Some of it is putting up with people that do not want to hear the truth. Most of what I do is Polls. A large percentage is helping people with adding credits and answering a lot of how to do things.

Ed It isn't about me Its about all those people kids or older people who worked hard for free to make something extraordinary. Its then about showing that work and waiting and hoping for those dreams Only to find troll reviews from people trying to take down the competition. Not all reviews but those that are should be stopped. That's only fair. And by the way you consistently exaggerate and ignore my points in order to make me a bad guy. Its not me seeking attention here I just have a legitimate point that is reasonable and fair. By the way you don't go to the cinema and see troll polls under mainstream films Its only social media where they can get away with this and it doesn't need to be this way.
Trolling and lessons learned. When a cast and crew have worked hard and looking forward to seeing their films shown publically its often sad to see bad reviews full of vitriol hatred and anger. You or I would give a program 5 minutes and switch channels if we didnt like it. We wouldnt sit all the way through the film and then write an awful review full of the vitriol we often see. Its now become clear that many of these reviews are from within our own ranks. Usually as a way... to take down the competition or jealousy. So why dont I just ignore it? Because they DO succeed in getting films taken down of deterring others from watching it. From making cast and crew question and doubt as well as distributers who see this too. Exactly the result the haters want while making sure we have two hands firmly tied behind our backs. Well haters The games up we know who you are and why you do it and change is on the way.

Thank you Jaime I have zero objection to legitimate reviews None at all But the TRUTH is many of these vitriolic posts come from within our own ranks Fellow film makers Blue on blue. And its to get your film removed or unwatched as revenge for not agreeing with them or some other childish tantrum. I think that is wrong. And if I can do something about it to make things fair then I wont stand here and be a blind victim. If a disgruntled fellow film maker succeeds in taking your film down at some point in the future I will stand with you too. The rules need to be updated on Amazon and IMDBs part I think that its only fair that you reflect on this Vitriol Hatred and Anger have no place in the professional world. You wouldn't see this on any media outlets other than social media. So again I ask to put fair play back into the equation. Keep bad reviews but take down the trolls.
