Review not approved while other reviews posted later are approved. Hi IMDB - I put a review of PALTAN (2018) a fewq days ago yet I cannot seen it on the site. I even put a warning on top of my revuew stating " ***POSSIBLE SPOILERS***" as a warning to other users. Why the delay? Please answer ASAP.I have been an IMDB member for over 16 years now and this is the first time my review is delayed without any explanation!

Not sure which number you refer to - I did not get any number
the receipt you state of only comes during updates.

Upon further investigation I found the number - I think it is as follows:

O, it was probably declined. Maybe an IMDb company officer will look into the details of the submission (numbered as stated) and explain why in a bit.

No explanation was given. THAT is well and truly UNPROFESSIONAL. After all I have contributed to IMDB over the last few years I feel we as members are not valued!

I have resubmitted the review. However I am pretty annoyed and disgusted that I got no real answer as to why my first draft was rejected.Pretty unprofessional, the lack of followup I must say. I would give that a 1/10 rating. No explanation was given. THAT is well and truly UNPROFESSIONAL. After all I have contributed to IMDB over the last few years I feel we as members are not valued!

Thanks for the feedback and we are sorry you feel this way.

We do care deeply about our contributors as we could not do any of this without you.  Please take a look at the Contributors Charter at https://contribute.imdb.com/charter for more information.

In the case of user reviews, these are covered by the "Track My Contribution" feature, simply find the email receipt for any unprocessed review and click the link "View the status of your contribution" if you are ever concerned. Unfortunately at the present time, we can only give very broad feedback via these status links.  Did you check the status in this case?

It would be nice if the tools used by submission screeners allowed them to highlight which parts of a declined submission they found to be inappropriate, in such a way that the authors of the submissions could see the highlighting.

My comment may not apply directly to these postings, but it does in a general way:
My email received from IMDB, gave me a link - to see the review again, now that my edit had been approved.  Then, upon viewing that other critics post, I couldn't see where my one suggested deletion had been applied.  The top of the page listed my contribution as "Approved", and the foot note listed my Comment as: "Spoiler without warning".  But the original review appeared to me to be unchanged; the part that I considered a "spoiler, was still readable in the review.  My most basic suggestion : when IMDB emails approval of a member's edit,  it should specifically state what CHANGES the approval has made upon the review as it appears in the film's review page.   My only guess here, is that that original review remains the same; but maybe in the "comment" field, my opinion is merely posted as, "Spoiler without warning".
