A few days ago I posted a review for House of Tolerance (2011), contribution #200703-000209-707204. The next day I checked the status (from the link in the receipt I received) and it was Approved. However, the review does not appear in my list of reviews or on the reviews page of the movie.
For some reason the review has not completed the process, despite being approved.
I then submitted the review again, #200703-125342-994804, and this was declined. The reason was "The item you have submitted is exactly the same as a submission that you have already entered, which is still pending review by our staff."
So, despite the Approved status, the system still thinks my initial review is pending.
Clearly something has gone wrong with your process. Please push my initial review through so that it appears. That, or delete my initial review so that I can resubmit it.

Moreover, this has nothing to do with the issue. There is clearly a problem in that the shown status and the actual status don't match. If the status for the first contribution was showing "Pending" there'd be no problem, as I would just wait for the review to go through. The fact that it is showing "Approved" when it appears it isn't indicates that something has gone wrong with the process.
I've submitted other reviews since these and they went through fine.

Please Note Again:
It can take 24 - 48 hours before a review is live on all platforms within IMDb.
Wait a full two days. Never resubmit. If you approved review is not live after 48 hours then post here.
Start being more patient.
You have no clue whether at the time of your submission that there have been 40, 400, 4,000 or 4 Million reviews submitted. Processing can take extra time from one day to the next. So saying that I did this or that and it was posted immediately and there is now a problem. You cannot possibly extrapolate that hypothesis. You are not privy to the workings within the database.
Staff as always informed all respondents here of this 24 - 48 hours to process.
I have submitted more that just reviews. I have seen delays on some submissions and seen immediate results.
Immediate IS NOT the norm.
