Apololgies if this post comes across a tad curt but this is getting old.

I've just had a review declined (First review decline in months) for the reason "Bad formatting".

Rapidly approaching 1500 reviews every single one is "Formatted" the same, so what's going on?

Please allow me to show you something

"8 minutes of original banality repeated for well over two hours."

"Lotsa flashing lights and loud noises, little else. Went home and watched "The Wolverine" (the second one) to be reminded of what I like in a popcorn flick."

"Can anybody explain to me, what was good about this movie other than the special effects? I left the movie dissappointed and with a grudge against Marvel."

"I'm hoping they can pull it back on the right track with the sequel."

"I enjoyed all of the Avengers movies, but this one was very disappointed."

"The visualization is really impressive. But the story sucks. Marvel is ruining the reputation by putting all the superheroes together without a whole story."

That was me going onto a random movie and picking out 6 reviews for you from the first page, each one line in length. Apparently these are acceptable (Which makes a mockery of people who go indepth and write real reviews by the way) and yet mine was declined because.....why? And these are ones without flawed spelling, grammar and actually talk about the movie, countless don't.

Again if it comes across that I'm not happy it's because I'm not, thousands of contributions towards IMDB later and I'm still seeing such ridiculous declines and double standards.

The decline was:
#190412-003208-026204

I've re-sent it as:
#190412-135518-573204

Rant over, please do not reply with a link to the submission guides.....

Ed Jones (XLIX) you must have deleted your reply but I'll address it anyway

1) I'm fully aware of the criteria that has to be met to get into the IMDB top 250, I was referring to the 8.2 rating and the rating alone . If you bothered to read fully you'd have seen I even mentioned that it didn't have enough ratings in the very same paragraph!

"
The first thing I noticed about this British thriller was the IMDB rating, at time of writing we're talking 8.2. For those not in the know that's incredibly high and if it had more ratings it would be in the IMDB top 250!

2) That's not even the review in question and was posted weeks/months ago.

Thus making your entire post irrelevant so good call on the deletion.

You have in your reviews a pattern that I noticed which I will not go into again. We have discussed your reviews before. Not that interested in your rejection. I pulled it when I realized that it was a topic that I had already gave input on before and did not want to go down the same silly path again.

Rejection? Interesting choice of word there fella, I'm not rejecting anyone I'm merely acknowledging the first half of your post made absolutely no sense (As explained above).

Regarding IMDB cracking down on content I'm eager to hear what line from this most recent review flagged it to such an extent it was declined (And considering the delay looks like its about to be declined a second time)

Sure, this is it both times as I didn't see anything inappropriate that could have been flagged.

"At time of writing this has an 8.0 on IMDB, it's close to being in the top 250! I can confidently say I don't understand how.

Sure it's nowhere near as bad as I expected it to be but this is sickly sweet family viewing and I generally detest that especially when the core focus is a child. Not saying I hate children, I just hate children.

Starring Owen Wilson, Julia Roberts and Mandy "Inigo Montoya" Patinkin this tells the story of a child with facial deformities venturing into the cruel asylum known as school for the first time.

Basically everything you're expecting to happen, happens. Every message you're expecting to see, you'll see. It really is that predictable.

I'm not saying its bad, it's just generic family schmaltz with a budget and to be honest one of the first words that comes to mind to describe it is naive. You'd think it was made by Disney, sickly sickly stuff.

I get the appeal, I appreciate the market, but for me this had the emotional impact of a fart.

The Good:

Daveed Diggs

The Bad:

Needless heartbreaking side plot"

Wonder right? Lots of other reviews for the same movie that are one line as well. I see nothing that would warrant a decline there. Maybe it just hit an over zealous IMDB staff member?

Wonder is correct Jeffrey yes and I've sent the same review off again but I believe its been pending for a few hours now and generally that only ever happens when it's going to be declined. It's ridiculous.

Not sure since this has been "Solved" if you're still paying attention to this but just to be clear though it's approved it's still not published and it's been an hour.

To make matters worse two more reviews have since been approved, but also not published.

Has someone constipated my review flow? :(

In fact I've just noticed it's all contributions not just reviews. They've all been approved but go on the corresponding pages and they're not published.

I've seen all kinds of hiccups over the years on IMDB but this is a new one.
