Review not registering

Okay IMDB guys and girls this is getting old, it feels like I'm on here frequently complaining about things not working correctly. From reviews getting declined because of the use of words like Nazi (In a movie about nazis) or titular, to declined reports over spoilers in titles, to the recent issue with badge totals and now a review vanished into the ether with no email, no sign on the contribution history, nothing. I posted it again, same thing.

This isn't the first time this has happened either, should these issues not be investigated and rectified permanently so people don't keep coming here and peoples time isn't wasted further?

If this could be looked into it would be appreciated, no ref. because I've not been given one.

Nevermind 4hrs later all the notifications and the review all bizzarely came through at the same time. If why this randomly happens every once in a while could be confirmed though that would be nice, 99/100 reviews take mere moments 1/100 take hours and with no pending or acknowledgement of their existence.

If anything submitted on Friday afternoon in the US is processed on the weekend. That is when staff is reduced. Normally you will see it on a Monday. Also it is awards season, so a lot of media buzz means a lot of people seeing Oscar nominated movies. Movies seen means increased reviews. Increased reviews means longer approval times. When do people look at movies the most you might ask? Weekends!!!! Approval on weekends if they happen at all is spotty. From now on it might be nice if you were patient for a week before posting these.
Thanks,
Ed

I post 3-4 reviews every single day and have for years (Including weekends) and there are very rarely delays. On the occasion there are I still get confirmation emails and acknowledgement on my contribution history which as I said above I didn't recieve.

I got nothing, at all, nada which I always do which demonstrates that there is a problem and unless I'm too much mistaken this is where you come to bring up problems.

From now on it might be nice if you read everything that was said before replying to these with an attitude.

Thanks
Jay

Yeah that response was needlessly abrupt Ed, he'd said he received no confirmation the review had even gone through and that shouldn't happen so there was no need for that.  Use my old fart stance in life, if you don't agree with something someone says on the internet keep scrolling :)

You can always check the status of missing reviews via the new experimental tracking system at https://contribute.imdb.com/contributions/history

Hey Col, yeah I actually tend to leave that on in the background in a separate tab at all times (I'm sad like that) and I can confirm that this review didn't appear there either hence my posting this in the first place.

Delays are fine, I'm always amazed they don't happen more often than they do but if I get no email and the review doesn't appear in the "Tracking system" then it seems like a red flag to me. Pending is fine, it's when there is no acknowledgent that it was even posted that is the problem.

Also have to say for an experimental system (Which even has that disclaimer at the top) it's fantastically reliable (Except for ghosts in the machine like this)

I have been getting delayed e-mails from IMDb for about 6 weeks now.
Anywhere from 6-18 hours.

Further reason for this to be investigated then, I always get them in the time it takes me to switch tabs the same as their addition to my contribution history.

There is clearly a ghost in the machine especially if different people are having different experiences when it comes to these I can only assume automated systems.
