reviewer badge!

IMDb says a few hundred. Is 400 reviews enough to get this badge? A few people have a lot less reviews than me and they have it. Thank you.

brad,
To help illustrate your point, you have 403 user comments, but do not have the top reviewer badge.

This implies that currently you fall outside of the 1000 users who do have this badge.

However:
This user has 400 user comments and has the badge
This user has 342 user comments and has the badge
This user has 329 user comments and has the badge
This user has 272 user comments and has the badge
This user has 238 user comments and has the badge
This user has 215 user comments and has the badge
This user has 202 user comments and has the badge

It was fairly consistent as I worked my way down a list...maybe one or two in the middle of the pack who had no badge but a number of user comments in the 300's, but not many.

FYI the badges dried up around the 200 mark, which implies the line is around there to be one of the top 1000....although as brad shows, hard to say how many have double that or more but do not have this badge.

Henry,
I see Brad still has not got his badge even though he has significantly more user comments than others who do have the badge.

Did you manage to work out why this was?

Yeah, I wonder why this is. I would be grateful for a resolution.

This is my understanding too, which is there is not a fixed number of user comments, the only fixed number is 1000 users and if 1500 people are all actively writing user comments to the point where they all have 400+ and adding more each day, then the lower limit to be in that top 1000 pack is going to change.

This is done on a "total submitted" basis.

When i first saw it was updated monthly I though perhaps it would be based off user comments in the previous month but I did not see evidence of this as there a few months where I barely did a user comment, but did not lose my badge.

IMDb should remove that "few hundred" remark as I doubt it was ever true, although having said that I do know that the vast majority of those 1000 users will have below 500 reviews.

I am not only interested for OP to provide a link to his user comments (or a screenshot of his running total), but am also very keen to see the users that have fewer than him and yet have the badge he does not, since if this is the case there is either a bug or some interpretation of this badge that I do not understand.

... keen to see the users that have fewer [reviews] ... and yet
have the [Top Reviewer] badge ....
I've found some examples:

This user currently has 306 reviews
and has the Top Reviewer badge.
http://www.imdb.com/user/ur37581915/

This user currently has 254 reviews
and has the Top Reviewer badge.
http://www.imdb.com/user/ur25627714/

This user currently has 229 reviews
and has the Top Reviewer badge.
http://www.imdb.com/user/ur25851619/

This user currently has 201 reviews
and has the Top Reviewer badge.
http://www.imdb.com/user/ur26550510/

This user currently has 200 reviews
and has the Top Reviewer badge.
http://www.imdb.com/user/ur27698874/

This user has no reviews on IMDb?
I wonder why this user has the Top Reviewer badge?

Lucus,
Agreed.

Henry wanted OP's link so he can look into it, so I think this makes it clear that something is actually wrong here.

I don t know if this conversation can be continued as I can start a new one, but to save room I'll ask it here. I have been submitting reviews myself. Right now I have 392 and its updates monthly. So is the requirement to have more or has it passed and I didn t have enough in or do I need four hundred like the other brad?
