Someone - not in an official capacity - has created an entry for a television program I represent. For example, the season 1 episode list is COMPLETELY incorrect. I would like to delete all information on the show and start over but I see no options to actually do this. Is there a work around of some sort? Would love to get some help. Thanks in advance.

It'd be weird for it to be completely incorrect. Now one should never underestimate someone's stupidity but you'd wonder where they'd got all their information from, which makes me wonder:

* Is this a completely different TV series with the same name?

* Has there been a merge with a completely different TV series or something similar? It could, for example, have started off as a different TV series and someone else mistook it for yours and added in details of your show, resulting in it looking like it is yours.

Soooo while you could submit an edit that removed all existing credits and added in the new ones (for which you'd need to also submit screenshots of the credits) but I'd like to eliminate the possibilities that there is something other than someone having some random brainfart. Can you give us a link to the relevant entry? We can do a bit of research and staff can look into the history of the entry to see if anything went wrong somewhere down the road.

No, it's the same series and never has merged with a different / similar series. Here's the link - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0337541/?.... I'm guessing a viewer initially created the entry and added some of the information. Names of episodes are completely off, for one, and there have been 13 seasons in all thus far with more coming.

You are going to have to be more specific as the checks I've made highlight some mistakes but most things match. The cast on the main page seems to be made from participants in your show, for example.

For example, the season 1 episode list is COMPLETELY incorrect.

Most are right, some are slightly off and one is unknown (and one doesn't seem to be on the database), which is a long way from "COMPLETELY incorrect" - all that is required there are a quick series of tweaks - no need to scrap everything and start again.

Equally looking at the credits, only the first episode of the first series has any real attempt at listing the full credits and it only includes a handful of people with little accuracy. It does look like they've hammered in the credits for the rest of the series, copying over just a couple of the credits one of which is wrong

So not exactly the standards IMDB contributors should strive for, but also not exactly a disaster. You could have sorted out the credit problems and tweaked the titles in episode 1 in less time than it has taken me to type this.

Once you've got an initial set of credits right, you can then copy them across to other episodes, adjusting for any changes, so you can populate the credits relatively easily. So filling in the gaps shouldn't be a lot of hassle, although a little tedious (easier to do whilst watching TV, as it can be more frustrating sitting their waiting for page to update, so you might as well do something else at the same time).

I don't think it's helpful to explain what is wrong. There are way too many inaccuracies in the entry. I've tried, for example, to change the title of the entry - The show in its old iteration was simply known as Closer to Truth and aired in 2000, not 2002. The second season of the old iteration was known as Closer To Truth: Science, Meaning and Future and aired in 2003. None of this correct data is reflected in the existing entry. This is just the edge of the iceberg.

I just would like to get advice / guidance on how to correct the entry by starting over.

You can't start over. You can correct the inaccurate data and add any missing data.

For example, if you add release dates for the first season episodes, the title year should change accordingly, and a new or season-specific title can be added under Alternate Titles.
