As mentioned here, keywords including the words romeo and juliet were deleted, including reference-to-shakespeare's-romeo-and-juliet.

I tried to add that keyword back to an episode that once had it listed and got this rejection:

What's really going on here?

I don't understand your concern.  The keyword "reference-to-shakespeare's-romeo-and-juliet" is STILLL listed for this title.  The warning is just telling you that "the title already has this keyword."

Do you see it listed on the episode's keyword page?

Do you see the keyword in a keyword search?

Wow!  You're right.  Why was this important keyword deleted?  PLEASE RESTORE IT IMMEDIATELY!  I am speculating that it was a keyword for many titles.

Hi all -

I was also able to replicate the keyword error you described and have filed a ticket for the appropriate team to investigate as soon as possible (this is in addition to the ticket filed concerning the issues here).  Once I have an update on the status I will let you know here.  Cheers!

When are these important keywords -- shakespeare's-romeo-and-juliet and reference-to-shakespeare's-romeo-and-juliet -- going to be restored?  Who deleted them, and WHY were these incorrect submissions accepted?  Something is rotten in the state of Verona!  Get with it, IMDb!

Hi All -

I'm just following up here to confirm that the keyword has now been restored.  Cheers!

It would have been better if it had been restored it to all the titles it was listed for and not just the one I gave as an example. But it's better than nothing.

I tried to add reference-to-shakespeare's-romeo-and-juliet to a title just now and so far get the message that the keyword does not exist:

I have now found a title which has the keyword shakespeare's-romeo-and-juliet listed in the update form, but not on the site, just as above. Will this keyword also be restored?

Hi everyone, apologies for the wait while this problem was diagnosed. We have reverted the original changes that accidentally removed keywords with the substring 'romeo' and 'juliet'. I believe it stems back to the original request here - https://getsatisfaction.com/imdb/topics/delete-keywords-romeo-juliet-and-romeo-and-juliet-please - based on that request, I've just removed individual keywords for 'romeo' and 'juliet' and I've changed the instances of 'reference to romeo and juliet' to 'reference to shakespeare's romeo and juliet'.

The other keyword issues (one reported here) are still being investigated.

Tom
