Hello,
There are several occurrences of a project first developped as a short, as a warm-up so to say. Then the same team, sometimes year later, makes a full feature film by extending the previous script.
E.g. Avant que de tout perdre (2013) (30') is a trial of Jusqu'à la garde (2017) (93')
To me, there is an obvious need to link the two, but I am unsure of the applicable option: "Remake", "Spin off"? Or should a new option be devised, as it is rather common.
The same topic was raised 2 years ago (see https://getsatisfaction.com/imdb/topics/how-to-handle-short-version-of-feature-in-development). In the context of that topic, Will confirmed that the two could be linked, but without telling which option should be used. Moreover, the movie in question has no connection yet.
Thanks in advance for your feedbacks.
