In the past couple of years, IMDB Top 250 list has seen an influx of Bollywood movies. All these movies have a very low rating from top 1000 voters and rating outside of US is remarkably high, indicating that it's just a bunch of fans in India over-rating their movies!! These movies don't have critical acclaim. These hero-centric, melodramatic Bollywood craps are taking away the spots which would have otherwise been occupied by much better and deserving movies. I am sure many other users on this site share my sentiments. I have heard a few people suggest that we make a different list for Indians, etc etc. Of course that sounds rather preposterous! After giving it much thought, I have come up with this very simple solution! Almost none of these movies have a rating higher than 5 from top 1000 voters. So what we need to do is, allow movies only with a rating higher than 6 from top 1000 voters. This way we can filter out these Bollywood craps and stop any future entry of these kind of movies, in the process, making room for other more deserving movies bubbling under top 250!
