I did a search for THE BUSINESS OF FANCY DANCING. It did not come up under that search. I found it by going to Sherman Alexie's page. But this film should come up if you use its name to search since not everyone would know to look on Alexie's page.

The problem appears to be that the name of the film, as it appears on IMDb, is The Business of Fancydancing. (no space between Fancy and Dancing).. If you search for it that way, it shows up. Do you know which is correct?

Luvs: Even if the exact title is "The Business of Fancydancing" with no space, the search function still ought to find the title if one searches for it with a space. After all, one of the goals of the search function is to help people find a title even if they don't know the exact spelling, or in this case, the exact spacing.

Yes, I agree. I find the search function is very limited in its ability to find likely matches. I find it very frustrating when searching , whether for Titles or Names.

The search does find the title if you enter it with the space. However, it is not ranked very high in the matches and is several screens down, following a large number of titles that have only a minor match (A Business Affair, Monkey Business,  Fancy Pants).

I had the option set to only show Titles, and used Find on fancy to get to it. (I originally missed it when scanning the list.) While the search itself has its problems, these would probably not seem so severe if the results wore ranked by relevance (and if the relevance was correct).

Hi all,

Thanks for your comments. I did the same thing where I didn't look that far down in the list to see whether or not the film is there. My original search had "fancydancing" as two words.
