If you were really in that short film, the credit is factual and it won't be removed. IMDb is a website which collects available information and by agreeing to participate in any project people make that publically available information.
However, if you were not actually involveved in the production, it might be deleted. Additional clarification is needed. For what we we know know it could be a namesake.
