A few years ago I helped some friends with a shoot, and they made an IMDB profile for me without my permission. I kindly asked them to delete it but they didn't. How can I claim and edit the profile or delete it altogether?

No one created it. It is a computer generated standard Bio. It cannot be deleted.
You may write your own and submit it.
Here is the only Akarepi and the Bio.

Please note IMDb is not primarily a social network so if you work (or have worked) in the entertainment industry, you do not have a "profile" owned by you (or anyone else) in the same sense as might apply in a social media context. Instead, IMDb is primarily a database of on-screen credits from movies, TV-shows, web-series and other audio-visual entertainment content. Anyone ever credited on-screen may have an associated IMDb name page to store these credits and other information about the name.  Nobody owns nor controls all of the content on these pages -- not the person who created them nor the subject of the page. An eligible credit on an eligible title cannot be deleted and, similarly, a name page with eligible credits cannot be deleted from IMDb. In some cases people with credits not included on-screen (uncredited is the term we use) may also have credits and a name page on IMDb.

Separately, once a name (or title) page exists then certain value added features exist via IMDbPro, see https://help.imdb.com/article/imdbpro/your-account/what-is-imdbpro/G26UX3XND4ZD8P53 but using them in optional.

Anyone (whether they work in the entertainment industry or not) may register for a free IMDb account. An account is required to submit additions / corrections to IMDb's database content, for instructions on creating an account, please see https://help.imdb.com/article/imdb/general-information/why-should-i-register-on-imdb/GHB62T7USTMYMCD...

An account is not a name page, and for an explanation of the difference between the two, please see https://help.imdb.com/article/imdb/general-information/what-s-the-difference-between-an-imdb-page-an...

For more information on updating information on IMDb, please see https://help.imdb.com/contribution

For more information on IMDb, please see https://help.imdb.com/article/imdb/general-information/what-is-imdb/G836CY29Z4SGNMK5

Hope this helps.

Hey Col, I'm hoping someone in this thread can help me out. I am in a similar situation... I was added to IMDB 20 years ago for a student film, not a professional gig. I didn't know I was going to end up on this site, and I don't want to be on it. The only other entry for me is a non-credited role for a feature film, but as I'm not credited, there's no way to verify the accuracy of this info. I'm NOT a film professional and I don't belong on this site. There is zero need for me to be listed on it. Is there any recourse?
