Something wrong with the search field.

I use Windows on a desktop and Mozilla Firefox for browsing. When I go to IMDb's site and click the "search" field, the cursor doesn't really go to the search field except for really seldom. This problem started somewhere in the autumn of 2018. At most times when entering IMDb, I want to go the search field on the top of the page and enter keywords, but — alas! — the cursor is not there despite of my pointing and clicking there, and I'm just hitting the buttons on my keyboard for nothing. Usually I don't even realize this but after a while.

I have to click the search field twice: only after that the text I'm entering really appears onto the search field.

Besides that thanks for an excellent site: easily one of the most useful sites on the web!

I actually face this issue occasionally, but did not try your analyze it. I'll pay more attention next times.

This happens a lot on older computers with less ram.
Mine does that annoying thing with the cursor because the page is "Building"
Once it has you have no problems.
Another problem is virus protection software can slow things down also.
There are a lot of links on the page and protection software has to look at it first.
The newer your equipment
The better your broadband
The more RAM
The higher the processor speed
The less that Delay is noticeable.

But this problem started just now. Nothing has changed in terms of my CPU setup. Did IMDb's site go through some extensive changes/upgrades recently i.e. did the site get heavier to run?

Thanks for your input!
