Year of Movie or Year of your rating?
Movie year sorting is not available
Sorting by when you rated it is. You have oldest to newest or visa versa.

Hi, Magnus:

Ed is correct in saying that sorting by when you rated a title is available via Your Ratings page.
If you further wanted to filter the results there to get titles rated 8 to 10 stars, you would use the option three times (one for each rating).

However, you can get the same results (sorting by your rating date), but also sorting by movie year, by using Advanced Title Search.
(Make sure you select the option )

Here's the URL that will show your results:

Then you can sort such results by :,asc
(You won't be able to show specifically titles rated [by you] 8 to 10, though...)

AFAIK, the only way of retrieving the titles you rated 8 to 10 sorted by movie year is by exporting your ratings list to a csv file, and then opening it with your favorite text editor or spreadsheet program.

Hope it helps. Cheers!

It would be very cool if we search our rating year by year. And it's not hard to reach that, so please IMDB make it possible.

You can already do that:
