Subtitles allowed or not in Language section?

The language guide (https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/titles/languages/GSCRBZYEH5NX5SXL?ref_=helpms_helpart_inl...#) states that "The IMDb languages section records the languages spoken in titles in the database." as well as "we do not record dubbing languages for foreign releases in this list, or DVD subtitle options."

I assume subtitles can only be listed if they are part of the original version, but that is not specifically mentioned in the guide. Am I right in assuming subtitles should only be listed if they are part of the original version and not in any other case? If this is the case, can a yellow warning be added when a contributor adds the word 'subtitles' in the attribute field explaining this?
I ask, because in the attribute field, there is a great amount of attributes concerning subtitles and I strongly doubt they are all for original subtitles. A small example where quite some spelling errors have been made:

Can a staffer fix the above to the proper English subtitles please?

Marco: I believe that these attributes for subtitles should not be used in the Language section. I can't find a prior discussion where the staff expressed an opinion. However, in the thread at https://getsatisfaction.com/imdb/topics/where-can-i-add-english-subtitles-to-imdb-film-page both DavidAHCa and I sought to dissuade a filmmaker from trying to add "English (subtitles)" to the Language section for their Arabic-language film. As I wrote then:
... is theĀ (English subtitles) attribute really an essential part of the language designation? If you distribute your film in France or Germany or Spain, will it still have English subtitles, or will you be able to replace them with French or German or Spanish subtitles for the distribution in those countries?

Can the guide be updated please to reflect this?
