I will have to see both first to have an opinion. But, critically speaking, it is hard to see Aquaman catching Spider-Verse. Although at the box office, it will almost surely play out that Aquaman eclipses Spider-Verse's strong start.

Although there have been exceptions, I don't like superhero movies, generally, and don't see hardly any, but this is no contest for me (and I haven't even seen either one, lol): Spider-Verse, hands down, if, for no other reason, for trying to do something different with the genre.

Spider-Man already made it into the top 250 and it is still waiting its big release, seems Aquaman will have a hard time

Hi Pencho, since you said that Aquaman is taking the box office, this seems like it could have interesting results. And it's certainly timely, so could you update the intro. by cutting "in December 2018?"
