Cuarón, Iñárritu and del Toro, The Three Amigos, have put Mexican cinema on the spot, winning five of the last six directing Oscars and making films that sum 80 nominations in the past decade.

But they are far from being the only Mexican directors, and many others have recognition either from critics or box office both in Mexico and abroad.

From these other Mexican directors, whose filmography would you like to explore the most? if you are already familiar with them, who is your favorite?

The single line breaks in your descriptions may not appear in the poll layout. I would suggest using punctuation to keep it short but readable, like this:

Main accolades: 3 nominations for Cannes Film Festival Palme d'Or. 6 times Ariel Award (Mexican Oscar) winner. 2 times Best Latin America Cinema at Sundance.

Thanks Peter, I have remove the line breaks on the main accolades section of each director. Do you think I should also remove it from their filmographies?
