Jen,

Would you consider adding Fiddler on the Roof (1971) to your poll? There are strong parallels to the original Exodus celebrated during Passover.

What are the criteria exactly? Does the film have to do with the Exodus or just Jewish faith in a very loose way? Because I don't see the connection with "Crimes and Misdemeanors" and I really want to suggest Coen brothers' masterpiece "A Serious Man".

There is a memorable Seder dinner scene in Crimes and Misdemeanors. The film must have a scene related to Passover.

Woops, then I'm afraid A Serious Man is a valid option, there's a mention of Passover in the trivia section and the film is known for being the most Jewish of all the Coen brothers' film.

Besides, if one Passover-related scene makes an option valid, then Once Upon a Time in America should be there, one of its most pivotal sequence occurs during Pessah holiday.

...pick a Passover-related title to watch this week.
Could you perhaps formulate this as a question?

I think the emphasis was on the 'Passover-related' word, should be the film as related to Passover as A Wonderful Life is related to Christmas or Die Hard or any film that features one Christmas scene?

I'm celebrating Passover by getting something called Matzo Tacos from Mile End Deli.  So... be jealous!

Tsar,

Sounds delicious; I'm truly jealous!

For those of us who are not close to the Mile End Deli:

Very delicious but a tad small for the price.  One is a Reuben taco, the left one has chopped liver, pickled onions, and green peppers, the one in the back was brisket(?)....

This film begins with a sedar, Steven Spielberg's "Schindler's List" , http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0108052/?....

And even though this one shows hannacuah (sorry for the mis-spelling), The Diary Of Anne Frank (1959) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0052738/?....

Even though you are focusing on films about the Jewish faith, any film showing the passion and death of Jesus Christ would qualify too since his Last Super was a Passover sedar with the wine and the matzo (unleavened bread) which is a part of the Roman Catholic mass' Communion ritual.

These lines are from the section of the Bible about Jesus's last super.

Matt 26: 26 - 29

" While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. I tell you, I will not drink from this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.”

If you are going too include "Joesph: King of Dreams" then consider this famous Broadway musical too on the same biblical story -- [url]http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0175790/?...
