June is Pride Month, commemorating the 1969 Stonewall riots and asking all of us to remember how far gay rights have come since those dark times. Which of these screenwriters and/or directors who often tell LGBTQ stories do you think presents the most interesting films?

Great list, I'd be hard pressed to narrow it down below three. Probably Haynes or Van Sant.

The filmmaker(s) had to have directed at least three films with LGBTQ issues as the central theme to be included. The Wachowskis have not.
Joel Schumacher is gay but as far as I know he has never made a truly LGBTQ film. Same with Roland Emmerich and I'm sure there are more.
Conversely, Ang Lee himself is not gay but it on this list as he has made enough films centralized on LGBTQ themes to be included on this list.
