Observed annually on the second Friday in September, Stand Up To Cancer Day honors those who have been affected by this disease. An annual fundraising event is held in conjunction with this day. A national TV event also occurs on or around this day every year. One in two men and one in three women will suffer from cancer in their lifetime (American Cancer Society). The funds raised by Stand Up To Cancer go towards research. To do your part, go to http://www.standup2cancer.org.
