You Have the Conn ............On surface ships, the conning tower has been a feature of all battleships and armored cruisers since 1860. It refers to the heavily armored and raised command center or the control center of a Submarine of all navy vessels. It was transferred to science fiction by Star Trek (1966) as a reference to the first officer or command officer as having control of Bridge Operations.

My vote is for the Conn of the Red October. Also, FYC: The Conn of the Dallas from Red October, and Ops from Battlestar Gallactica.
