The last two weeks i ve noticed that something very strange is going on with my rating history. Some votes have changed and some other votes of movies i have never seen (or voted of course) have been added. i dont share my account with anyone else. My email account is pretty safe, i m always careful and i havent noticed any other suspicious activity to the other sites i am registered. I also tried to change my password to but the day after that i saw new ratings popping up.

Finally i scanned my mashine for malware etc but it was clean. What is going on? Can you enlighten me? Is it possible that someone hacked my account and started adding ratings? I m looking forward for your responce. Thanks in advance.

If you used a public/shared terminal to access your IMDb account and did not logout after you were done, it's possible for anyone using that same computer after you to gain access to your IMDb account, change votes, etc.

To avoid this type of problem, remember to always logout anytime you leave a shared/public computer.

Otherwise, whether you used a private or public computer, you should immediately login and change your password again. I would also recommend changing the password to your e-mail account to be on the safe side.
