Someone keeps merging Technicolor [in] into Technicolor [us] (http://www.imdb.com/company/co0065861/ ). They are two separate companies- note the different country code. Is there a particular reason why they keep getting merged? This has happened twice now, and it frustrates me because every time I have to manually change every instance of a Technicolor India credit, and there are hundreds of them.

I understand the desire to remove duplicate companies, but IMO that should only be used when the duplicate companies are located in the same country as each other.
To use another example, look at the video game company Ubi Soft. They have dozens of subsidiaries in multiple countries of the world. So would it make sense to discount that and just list them as one parent company?
