Someone keeps merging Technicolor [in] into Technicolor [us] (http://www.imdb.com/company/co0065861/ ).  They are two separate companies- note the different country code.  Is there a particular reason why they keep getting merged?  This has happened twice now, and it frustrates me because every time I have to manually change every instance of a Technicolor India credit, and there are hundreds of them.

Hi ianlueck,

This is on purpose, we would prefer to list these two branches under the same company const on the site to avoid duplicated company pages. Please continue to use http://www.imdb.com/company/co0065861/ for these submissions.

Regards,
Will

But it's inaccurate.  Shows that were animated in India are being listed as being done in the U.S.

I understand the desire to remove duplicate companies, but IMO that should only be used when the duplicate companies are located in the same country as each other.

To use another example, look at the video game company Ubi Soft.  They have dozens of subsidiaries in multiple countries of the world.  So would it make sense to discount that and just list them as one parent company?

Hi ianlueck,

Thanks for your opinion. It is dependent on a number of factors: the company themselves, how they function as individual/combined entities globally and how they wish to be listed on IMDb. I appreciate that we are inconsistent on this but we would prefer to list Technicolor under one company const.
