Hi!

Episode #2.1 of the TV-series The Big Fat Quiz of Everything should be changed into a stand-alone TV Special.

Channel 5 has gone back and fourth on the format of this show, but in general they have been broadcast as once-a-year TV Specials since 2016 (just as the sister-show The Big Fat Quiz of the Year has been since 2004.)

The Big Fat Quiz of Everything (2016) is a TV Special, broadcast in January 2016 = OK

The Big Fat Quiz of Everything (2016– ) is a TV (Mini) Series, broadcast over three episodes in August 2016 = OK

The Big Fat Quiz of Everything (2017) should be a TV Special, broadcast in January 2017, but is entered as Episode #2.1 of the TV series above = NOK

The Big Fat Quiz of Everything (2018) is a TV Special, (soon to be) broadcast in January 2018 = OK

Can you break out the TV episode (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt6400334/) into its own title? I can't see a way to do that using the regular editorial tools, but please let me know if there is a way to do it from my end :)

(This should be better than deleting the episode and re-entering it I thought, since that would break user's ratings/lists/etc.)

Thanks!

Gustav,

To correct this, you'll need to submit an update by retyping the title format and adding a Keyword.

Go to the episode page and click the yellow Edit page button.

In the Updating Information page, scroll down to the Plot & Quotes section, go to Keywords. Then scroll down to the Other Corrections section and go to Episode Title/Number. Click the down arrow for each to change the drop-down menu from No change to Correct/Delete.

Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the blue Check these updates button.

On the next Update Information...page, in the Keywords section, type the keyword tv-special.

On the Episode Title/Number section, currently, the title is stored on IMDb and is listed in the form this way (from left to right):

Series

"The Big Fat Quiz of Everything" (2016)
Episode Title

Number
2.1

In the Series section, type the title this way:

The Big Fat Quiz of Everything (2017) (TV)

Leave the Episode Title section blank.
Remove the episode Number 2.1.

Click the blue Check these updates button.

On the next Update Information page, you should now see 2 yellow warning messages. If for some reason you are seeing a red rejection message, recheck the title to make sure it has been typed exactly the way it was posted above.

Fill out the explanation box with a brief statement why the title format is being changed. You can post the URL of this discussion page as well.

Also, in both sections, click the checkbox next to the following statement below the yellow error warnings.

Warning understood, go ahead anyway.

The items should now be green and ready to be submitted.

Give at least 2-3 days for the updates to complete.

I hope this helps. Please write back if you have any more questions.

Thank you GMJ!

I was in the series section trying to find a way to unlink it from the series, but did know that simply renaming the title would trigger the title type change.

Thanks a bunch, you're awesome!
