The 1997 Japanese animated film The End of Evangelion has a rating of 8.2 stars indicating that it should appear somewhere between the 115 and 154 positions on the top 250 films list however it does not. The same is also true of Evangelion 2.0 with a rating of 8.1. Please fix this error.

Actually, nothing needs to be fixed. At the bottom of the Top 250 List you will find this:

The formula for calculating the Top Rated 250 Titles gives a true Bayesian estimate:

weighted rating (WR) = (v ÷ (v+m)) × R + (m ÷ (v+m)) × C
Where:

R = average for the movie (mean) = (Rating)
v = number of votes for the movie = (votes)
m = minimum votes required to be listed in the Top 250 (currently 25000)
C = the mean vote across the whole report (currently 7.0)
For the Top 250, only votes from regular voters are considered.

The End of Evangelion does not yet have 25,000 votes and, therefore would not qualify for inclusion. In addition, only voted from "regular voters" are utilized in this calculation. IMDb does not reveal exactly what comprises a "regular voter".
