Brandy: Where are you seeing that anyone named Alex Cummings (and there are 10 people listed by that name on IMDb) was in the movie Annie? There's no entry I could find stating that on IMDb.

However, I think I have figured out what you meant. In the 1999 TV movie version of Annie (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0207972/), Alan Cumming (not "Alex Cummings") played Rooster Hannigan. That was not the same as the 1982 theatrical version of Annie (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0083564/), in which Tim Curry played the same role.
