For The Green Mile, the writing credits are locked but out of order and without the correct attributes. Frank Darabont (written for the screen by) should be listed first (see picture below at 3:00:24). Stephen King (based on the novel by) should be listed second (see second picture at 3:00:37).

Hi Adrian,

Thanks for your post.

Please remember that we list our filmography based on a titles original release - this means if the writing credits have been altered for later releases, they are not eligible to be changed on IMDb.

I've reviewed our existing credits and believe they're currently accurate in their current order.

Thanks for understanding.

No, Joel, I don't understand and I don't think many other people will either. I've owned this DVD since it was first released in 2000. There is absolutely no reason to believe that the writing credits were changed between the theatrical and DVD releases. I've provided evidence that they are wrong (as are a lot of WGA locked credits). What evidence exists that the theatrical release is any different? (Also, I cannot think of a single instance where the DVD is different from the original theatrical release where it does not warn the viewer of such. The Green Mile has no such warning and it would be bizarre that they only changed the credits.)

These inconsistencies make editing for IMDb frustrating and makes any claim of accuracy wrong.
