My name is spelled incorrectly, and the wrong version is someone else' name. I am Jeffrey Paden. I appeared in two episodes of The New Adventures of Robin Hood, Ringside Murder (Lord Burnley) and The Orphans (Father Winchell). I am not mentioned in the credits for The Orphans, and my name is misspelled for Ringside Murder (Jeffrey Palen). Jeffrey Palen is another actor, who appeared in a different movie. I'm not sure how to correct this. I hope that you can help.

Jeff: Here is how to fix the problem.
Since there are only two credits on Jeffrey Palen's page at http://www.imdb.com/name/nm3457332/, one of which is yours, the easiest way to fix this would be to go to the page of "The New Adventures of Robin Hood: Ringside Murder" at http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0659265/ and click "Edit page".
On the next screen, on the Cast line, select "Correct/Delete". Scroll down and click "Continue".
On the next screen, on the line which now refers to Jeffrey Palen, select "Correct" in the drop-down menu to the left. Click "Check these updates".
On the next screen, you will see that the name is editable, so change Palen, Jeffrey to Paden, Jeffrey instead. Check the box marked "provide an explanation to assist in processing this change".
On the next screen, there will be an Explanation box. In that box, enter something like "I am Jeffrey Paden, and I played this role. I am a different actor from Jeffrey Palen who has been incorrectly listed here."
Below that, select the option for "This is a different person not currently listed - create 'Paden, Jeffrey'."
Click "Re-check these updates".
On the next screen, your data should appear with a green background, and you should be able to click "Submit these updates".
Once your name page for Jeffrey Paden appears with the credit for the "Ringside Murder" episode on it, you can then go ahead and submit your credit to the other episode you appeared in by the normal "edit page" method.
Good luck!

Thank you for the reply. I did it exactly as you said. It was easier than I expected. Without your help, the process seemed daunting.

[M]y name is misspelled for Ringside Murder (Jeffrey Palen)You did not specify whether your name was misspelled on the credit roll, or only on IMDb. gromit82 assumed it was only on IMDb. I expect that he is correct in which case everything is fine; however, if it was actually misspelled on screen, you need to update the credit to include an (as Jeffrey Palen) attribute to recoed how it was listed. If you don't, not only does it make the database inaccurate, but also another contributor who decides to audit the on-screen credits is likely to 'correct' it, and move it back to his page.
