On Sunday, a movie entitled "The Promise" premiered at the Toronto Film Festival. It is about the genocide committed by the Ottoman Empire in 1915-1923 against not only Armenians, but also against Assyrians and Greeks. Two days later, there are more than a dozen one-star reviews from Turks who have not seen it, whose reviews cannot be anything more than propaganda. In addition, the message board is full of both historical nonsense and racist remarks aimed at Armenians. I don't know how you might do it, but I call upon the owners of the IMDB to police the discussion boards to remove racist comments, and to remove reviews from people who clearly have not seen the movie, and are engaged in a disinformation campaign against it.

This has been a highly talked about issue in the past couple of days. See this thread here:

They are making a mockery of the rating system. It is not even possible that tens of thousands of people have seen the film yet.

IMDb should remove the rating system for this film or find a way to manage this. IMDb ratings are lacking integrity in this case. This is a political tool. This is an effort suppress history, to diminish, to censor.
