Title Correction

Hello again,

A short video project was recently listed on IMDB under this title Nike: All In (2017) (V)

However, the production involved requested to have the title changed, which it was on the existing file on Vimeo, which you can find here -

https://vimeo.com/328349651/780c82eac3

The IMDB contribution for this change is here - 190417-203113-370000

However, there is no way to track this item, nor has it been corrected yet, even though the physical evidence is valid and present.

The item needs to be corrected for specific practices, and NDA purposes

Please, correct.

Thanks,
Chris Eadicicco

Hi Chris -

I can see that your Title Correction was not approved because the original title from when the short was first released was titled: "Nike: All In", and we will need to retain that title information.

The new title, "All In", can still be listed and has been added as an Alternate Title on the page here: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10127360/releaseinfo?ref_=tt_ql_dt_2

Hi Michelle -

So that request is coming down from the company itself - they pulled away from the final product, and have requested through the form of their lawyers - is there no way we can change that?

This particular change would be extremely helpful. Extremely.

Thanks,
Chris

Hi Michelle -

I know I have been attempting to have older credits removed/corrected over the past few weeks, but I am done with that now - this however is something that I would highly recommend be changed, as a simple correction would be better than dealing with lawayers.

I am going to have to change the plot/summary to reflect the loss of their contribution as well, andthe final element is really just dropping Nike from the title, as the requeste came down from the company.

Again, it would be extremely helpful to have this corrected.

Thank you,
Chris Eadicicco

Chris, the reason for them retaining the original title is because it is Historical Fact.
Your Vimeo says so. At the bottom of the screengrab it says

edit 6/17/17 - originally titled Nike: All In

You also still have Nike in the End Credits!

This is from IMDb's policy

IMDb aims to be the most comprehensive and reliable source of information on movies, TV and celebrities. We are committed to accuracy and it is our longstanding policy not to alter or remove correct factual information from our records.

Oh and in case you think that changing all of that fixes the problem it does not.
The original work as seen above IS in existence.
If it existed, the database will reflect that ACCURATELY.

No Ed, it’s more of a legal matter - Nike wants their name removed from the main titles - it’s still a film/advertisement for them - they don’t want it to be advertised on IMDB - that I can not argue with. That is all I am asking for - a simple title correction. You guys try and make everything so difficult, regardless of updates, corrections or whatever. I don’t get it - why have editing tools built into the system if you can never edit anything without jumping through hoops to try and have something fixed?

No Christopher, it is YOUR legal issue. IMDb was listing accurate information. It is not obligated to retract a factual item of data.
Your issue.
Your legal problem.
Not IMDB's
Not Vimeo's
It is you that must bear the responsibility.
IMDb published ACCURATE data, just like the local news does. Unlike the news of today IMDb sought out other published sources of confirmation. They had this confirmation. So it was listed. It is a Historical fact within the database. It will not remove history or wipe it out, so as to amend your legal problems.
Sorry but none of the data is in error. It has been modified with an alternate title to reflect the new current title.
You are not being singled out.
These rules have been in effect for quite some time.

Be Well

Ed

Extra note:
No amount of words on your part is going to change anything.
There is no need for me or anyone else to reply back further to you.
Cheers
and
Thanks.

Nothing else is changing - it’s a simple request by more than just myself, and even if the the end title was changed, you guys would still give a hard time over changing it.

What am I supposed to do to have that changed? Walk me through it Ed or someone. Explain it step by step.

So if an edited version of this short video was submitted with nothing reflecting Nike’s involvement - would the title correction be made?
