Original title in non latin alphabet is not supported?

I tried to correct a title in its original non-latin one, but I was informed that the non-latin characters aren't supported. On the other hand you can add alternative titles in other alphabets. Why is this happening? The result is that you can see the original title of the movie (if you have set your site preferences properly) but you'll aways see exactly below the indication "romanized title (original title)", something really weird and misleading.
