The results at http://www.imdb.com/search/title?has=ontv-us&sort=alpha,asc&title_type=mini_series are supposed to filter for "US TV Airings" (in title data).  However, NONE of its results actually has scheduled any upcoming U.S. TV Airings.  Its results OMITTED http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0108941/, which does have upcoming U.S. TV Airings.

Where are you finding information that says The Stand has upcoming US TV airings? I'm not finding it listed on TV Guide or locatetv.com either.

It's likely whatever source IMDB pulls it's TV listings from doesn't have it either.

I'm not an expert on this, but apparently in some cases IMDb data for TV airings might be associated with individual episodes of a series.

You mentioned The Stand  (1994) as one example:  a miniseries that has upcoming US TV airings.  As you noted, that series does not appear in results of an Advanced Title Search for miniseries with US airings.  However, Advanced Title Searches for episodes with US airings can find the episodes of that miniseries.  But this is not a very satisfactory workaround in many such cases.

Can IMDb fix this?  I don't know, but I doubt it.

Bummer.  :-/

This problem is REPLACED at https://getsatisfaction.com/imdb/topics/title-data-filtering-for-u-s-tv-airings.  If your hypothesis is correct, then the search results for mini-series (not episodes) with U.S. TV Airings should be none.

My assumption (quoting from my reply above) is that
"in some cases IMDb data for TV airings might be
associated with individual episodes of a series."
Note the phrase "in some cases."

But as I said I'm not an expert.
I could be wrong.  (I often am.)

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled title data filtering for "U.S. TV Airings".

The results at http://www.imdb.com/search/title?has=ontv-us&sort=alpha,asc&title_type=mini_series are supposed to filter for "US TV Airings".  However, its results are inaccurate in terms of mini-series that actually have upcoming U.S. TV Airings.  Firstly, the initial three results do NOT actually have any upcoming U.S. TV Airings.  (For the rest of its results, a couple do have upcoming U.S. Airings.)  However, its results OMITTED http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0108941/tvschedule, which actually has upcoming U.S. TV Airings.

Thanks for highlighting this.  It is something we hope to address when advanced search is migrated to our newest technology.

Has there been any progress on fixing the "U.S. TV Airings" filter?  I still apply the filter to my lists and it returns titles that have no TV Airings listed on their title page.  Also when I navigate to individual title pages in my personal list, I find titles that do have TV Airings that were not shown when I applied the filter to my personal list. Any update of what is being done to fix this feature would be great.  Thanks.
