https://pro-labs.imdb.com/title/tt1319720  The Last Dragon
Director: Mario Andreacchio

Amazon DVD link: The Dragon Pearl (The Last Dragon) [Region 2]
Directors: Mario Andreacchio
http://www.amazon.com/The-Dragon-Pearl-Last-Region/dp/B005PS4VFW

It means this title is the same as The Dragon Pearl (2011) directed by Mario Andreacchio.

Please help to update the status. Thanks!

Kaisic: Are you sure these films are the same?

The plot of The Dragon Pearl (2011) is stated as follows: "Josh and Ling were expecting a boring vacation visiting each of their parents at an archaeological dig in China. But the new friends soon discover they're right in the middle of an adventure when they find a Chinese Golden Dragon." The writing credits are stated as:
John Armstrong (original script), (story)
Mario Andreacchio (story)
Ron Saunders (story)
Philip Dalkin (screenplay)

The plot of The Last Dragon (????) is stated as follows: "In order to be "The Last Dragon", a young martial arts student in New York trains to become a great fighter like Bruce Lee, but first he must face off against one mean, bad dude known as Sho'nuff, the Shogun of Harlem." The writing credits are stated as:
Louis Venosta (characters)
Dallas Jackson (screenplay)

So if these films have significantly different plots and were written by different people, I would assume that they are different projects, even though they have the same director and both have the word "Dragon" in the title. In fact, The Last Dragon (????) is a remake of the 1985 film by the same title.

According the seen infos, there are conflicts. But Amazon DVD use as a aka title.

Can anyone help to confirm this by comparing other unseen infos like company credits?

Kaisic: I can't explain the use of "The Last Dragon" as an AKA title for "The Dragon Pearl" on Amazon.com.

But I do have access to IMDbPro, and I already did compare the two films' entries. (See my post above.)

For the record, the production companies for The Dragon Pearl (2011) are listed as Hengdian World Studios [cn], AMPCO Films [au], Best FX (Boom Sound) [au], and Sapo Investment [au].

The production companies for The Last Dragon (????) are listed as AMPCO Films [au], Columbia Pictures [us], Davis Entertainment [us], and Hengdian World Studios [cn].

I don't know what you make of that, but I feel pretty confident that these are two different film projects.

You are amazing! Thank you very much.

I just don't like the dead projects.
