Titles Not Fixed

During the recent renovation of the IMDb website, one of the bugs was that AKA titles were showing up as original titles on film pages.  Col Needham stated that this problem had been corrected.  Indeed, I did find that it was corrected in most cases.

However, today (16 Jan 2018) I find that AKA titles are still showing up as original titles in at least two instances - "The Ship That Died of Shame" (aka "PT Raiders") and The Day Went Well? (aka "48 Hours").

This error is extremely frustrating and begins to lower one's confidence in IMDb and makes it more difficult in finding titles.  I sincerely hope this problem will be corrected.

Hello Bill,
Where are you?

The Ship That Died of Shame (1955)  has an AKA of "PT Raiders" in the USA
Went the Day Well? (1942)  has an AKA of "48 Hours" in the USA. But it is also listed as being known as Went the Day Well? in the USA

I believe that the IMDb will always present each title using your local country (which is why I asked where you were) if the AKA doesn't have any other attribute

You can check your Preferences
What is the Title display country set to in your preferences?

I live in the USA.  Nevertheless, IMDb policy states as follows:
B. Title formats

"We use the original title of a movie/show in its original language as it appears on screen in the opening credits."  - Copied and pasted from IMDb submission guidelines.  Emphasis is within the IMDb page showing submission guidelines.

Yes, they use and store it by the original titles but unless you have Title display country = Original then they'll display it using the AKA title for your country. That's why they're displaying The Ship That Died of Shame as PT Raiders and
Went the Day Well? as 48 Hours

Steve's answers cover this.  Please go to your site settings at https://www.imdb.com/preferences/general and on the menu "Title display country" please choose "Original" which is the first item on the menu.  This will block the localization of titles.
