interesting poll...even though both bernard hermann (psycho) and john williams (jaws) deserve props, i'd probably vote for jerry goldsmith 'the omen'...

Yeah, I love informative polls and I also find trivia fun so my favorite polls tend to be either thought-provoking or informative. I'm sure you'll come to see, if you haven't already, a poll author on here, albstein: I almost always learn quite a bit from his polls so you'd probably find them interesting, as well. 

I did notice that you were new but I wanted to check because occasionally someone changes their username or something. You seem to have this poll-making thing figured out but if you have any questions, just ask. Most people on here are really helpful and nice.

Nice suggestion. I think the interesting thing will be which film comes third, as I believe Psycho and Jaws will take the top two spots.

FYC Just some thoughts to consider
It might be worth spelling out that poll voters are voting on the total package: signature theme, movie score, soundtrack songs, etc. As well as how all these musical elements are used in conjunction to heighten the horror experience and are essential to the total experience.

I agree the ones that immediately come to mind are the 20th century horror titles. I don't have a specific recommendation, but feel the list would more well-rounded with a couple 21st century options too. Otherwise, if this a set Top Ten list from a specific source you should cite whose Top 10 it is.
