I've attempted to view Trailers for well over a dozen films and none play. I get directed to a new screen with an outline of a box where you'd expect to see the trailer play but nothing happens.

Sounds like you might have a Flash blocking plug-in or need to update your Flash player.

I use Abobe's auto notify whenever there's an upgrade. Accorfingly, my system always has the very latest version of Flash. As to the second point, I routinely visit at least a dozen sites employing Flash technology without incident. Trailers always played for me on the IMDB site without difficulty. I'm just winding down a forty year career in it IT so rest assured I've examined the simpistic explinations long before posting.

So you've tried using a different browser too?

Can you provide a link to one of the trailers that doesn't work? I viewed one earlier and it was fine, but you never know, something could have gone wrong with some of them.

I just tried ZDT and both trailers on the main page for the film work just fine in Firefox, even with a Flash blocker in place (I've found it can make some unplayable because you don't get the play button).

Given the fact that there are (as yet) no similar reports, it does seem like it might be something at your end and there probably isn't much I can suggest that you haven't thought of.

Trailers off main page for current film play fine. When I search and go to a new page I click on Trailer and go to another page with this rectangular outline around a large white space. No controls, no nothing.

Also been having trouble with navigational controls. After reading a review I have to click back arrow dozens of times before actually getting a response.

Spend lots of time on Web no trouble anywhere else.

Perhaps a screenshot or two might help someone diagnose the problem?

A screen shot of the empty screen?

Thanks for continued help. Rlied on this service so much - reviews & trailers all in one place.

So there is nothing on the page at all? How strange. You aren't using reference view are you?

No and I always used to view the trailers just fine. I'm not sure I recall the page redirection. All there is is this border w/o controls. the movie title is top left and its hyperlinked to the main info page.

And again trailers on main page for current film play just fine.

I really hate having to go yo Amazon for the trailer and IMDB for the review. It was such a great site, tremendous resource for me. I use it to assess Netflix and TV offerings.

What is the link you get redirected to? Where did you click the link from?

I'm just trying to reconstruct what actually happened

I only get the spinning circle of death  since imbd radically altered the site.
People do not like change.
Especially when "change" does not work.
Just look at yahoo.
Whatever "improvements" IMDB made messed everything up.
