The site told me I needed to update my login info since IMDb user name would no longer be an option. In doing so, I lost 13 years of data. Reviews, ratings, lists, etc. How can this be corrected?

They changed, about a year ago, the login process for users to enter their email address and password (instead of a user ID and password).
Nothing changed other than needing to enter email address attached to that account and your old password.
I don't know what you mean by "the site told me..." but no data should have been lost. If you're entering a different email other than the one attached to your 13 year old account, you're actually logged in to a different account.
When you look at the User ID, is it the same as your old account or something different? If different, you're definitely logged in to a newer account. That's why you won't see reviews, ratings, lists, etc.

Hi Nick,
From what you've described, it seems you've created a new account. Not to worry, your old account information was not lost.
I've sent an email to your address from our Helpdesk with a solution.

I can't login because of the User ID change to email address too...But I have no clue which email I used. Is there a way to link my User ID to the right email address so I know which email address to use to log in again?

Max,
No data is lost by logging in to a new account. You just cannot see it while not logged in to the old one. If you need help logging in to your old account because you can no longer use the ID, see http://www.imdb.com/help/show_leaf?nicknamelogin
