Trying to remove incorrect credits, keep getting declined

For example, in episode 2.2 of "I'm Alan Partridge", Phil Cornwell does not appear (though he appears in all the other episodes) and he is not listed in the end credits. I've tried to remove his name for the episode twice but twice I've been turned down because "Unable to verify". I can't exactly get an IMDB administrator to watch the entire episode.

Plus in every episode of series 2, Andrew Burt gets an uncredited credit as "Voice of Radio Norwich" but his voice is only used in about half of the episodes. I tried to remove him from the episodes he's not in but I keep being declined.

I've had this problem with a few other TV series recently, IMDB seems very reluctant to delete credits even when they are wrong.

Can anyone explain how the verification process works? When I submit quotes and trivia they are added very quickly, I doubt anyone's really "checked" them. I've been submitting info to IMDB for years and I'm very conscientious about accuracy.

While I'm at it, another thing that's really annoying is now when I am submitting movie connections, if I enter, say, "The Great Escape", I am asked to choose from a list of other things with that title EXCEPT the most well known one, the 1963 film starring Steve McQueen, ISN'T THERE! So I have to go to its IMDb page and get the tt code from the address bar.

If it was added by the actual production companies staff then you would need irrefutable evidence for each submission. A Screen Shot and the accompanying URL of the screen shot.
IMDb is reluctant to remove submissions by the actual production company staff.

Hi gman84,

Thanks for your post.

Are you able to supply some of your submission references so we can look into them for you?

Thank you in advance.
