Is there any way to default to the desktop version of pages, the mobile version does not provide me with the information I'm looking for, almost ever. I just want a list of movies and tv shows an actor has been in, not a picture of the 5 most popular or recent ones!!!!

IMDb's new desktop version is almost as bad now. It's almost a copy of netflix's desktop home page.
Are you on a mobile device?

At the bottom of the page, you have the option to activate desktop version. In order to avoid the mobile completely, I would copy the url of the desktop version and add it to my favorites. I have done this as the mobile version doesn't work for me at all neither.

Since the new homepage is terrible for anyone trying to find anything useful, I would recommend that you enter the site through another adress like your user page, the poll page www.imdb.com/poll/ or your favorite actor, from there you can navigate easily.

To see data pages in the full version, try using a mobile browser with a setting to always request the desktop website.

Safari on iPhone has this (in the settings app) and so does Opera Mini.
