Unable to correct an erroneous credit

My original contribution confirmation # 190212-154258-21200 listed an incorrect occupation.

I then submitted a corrected version, confirmation # 190212-235719-111000 to reflect the corrected occupation.

Now that the credit is up, it now lists the number of episodes as 20 instead of 10 and it still has the incorrect occupation.

I tried to fix the credit via the edit page and the correct/delete function. When I tried that, the page I get says no existing data in the field and I can't put anything in the fields.

My question is: How can a credit list an occupation for 20 episodes in one season, when only 12 episodes were filmed for that season? And why list 190212-154258-212000? Is 190212-235719-111000 still pending? or why hasn't it been added? or if it has been added, why the 20 episodes?

Obviously I sent the credit page with all episodes at once by mistake instead of submitting them one at a time for this particular show.

I am trying to correct the (additional make artist :second unit key makeup artist) for all episodes for that season. As that was entered by mistake. Only (additional makeup artist) should be listed as per 190212-235719-111000

How do I go about correcting this on my end? I am guessing I am missing something that should be quite straight forward? As for processing time, I took around 30 minutes for the second contribution to be listed, so I don't think it's that.

As this credit entry is considered fraud by the production company and by the union as per their deal memo and I want to avoid legal action from them.

Thanks in advance guys.

Cheers,
Omar

Hi Omar,

I am not familiar with series on IMDb, so your problem looks rather confusing to me.
Anyway you can start by the processing times: https://contribute.imdb.com/times
And check the actual outcome of your submissions: https://contribute.imdb.com/contributions/history (view details)

Hope this starts to help.

Hi Vincent,

Ya re-reading my post, I can see how my post looks confusing.

I am a crew member that worked on a show who has two credits listed in the makeup department for 10 episodes for only season 3. I am trying to delete one credit while keeping the other credit for all 10 episodes. As one credit is accurate, the other one is not.

The processing time is listed under filmography: crew  Platinum February 11, but I submitted the corrected version February 12 at 18:57 EST. It went live approximately 30 minutes later.

Should I start from scratch and redo the submission via the edit page? I tried that and the credits went from 10 to 20 episodes for season 3. That was on Feb. 12. (see above). If I redo the submission, will it list the number of episodes to 30?

The total number of episodes for season 3 for this show was 12 episodes, I need to be credited for one category for 10 episodes.

Do you want me to link to the specific show or to my page in the next correspondence? Let me know if that will help.

Thanks Vincent

Omar

It sure does help to provide any and all relevant information, at least for IMDb staff (that I am not, BTW) if you want them to have a deeper look.
But it could also help a quicker reactions from the knowledgeable contributors to this forum.

Hi Omar -

If I understand your request correctly, only the credits listed under "additional makeup artist' for the 10 episodes of Season 3 should remain listed, is that correct?

Hi, Michelle,

Just to add, is there is anything I can do on my end to correct it? or should I just give it some time for you guys to correct it? Just wondering. Thanks in advance!

Cheers,
Omar
