The solution is not going to be soon because we have to prioritize what we work upon and only a small number of users are affected, since it tends to be a combination of connection speed (or at least throughput from IMDb to the end user system) and the size of the list (with only extremely large lists affected).

So any list of 200 is considered to be extremely large ????????? What on earth do you call a 10,000 item list?
Prioritize??? Yes keep on making changes that nobody whats and ignore those that are needed.
Small number of users. How do you know? The number of reports here cannot be used to judge how many are affected.
But thank you for at last acknowledging this is a problem after ignoring it for over 2 years.

I've been trying to export my ratings, as I have done many times before. After 9 or 10 attempts, I have to believe there is a big with the changes to the ratings page.
I've always had a little bit of problems with exporting, maybe due to the size of my ratings list which is now nearing 20,000. Today, the page just spins and then comes up with the D'oh page.

We have not updated the export software yet so this is unfortunately likely to be the same timeout issue due to the size of the list. There is a small chance the export has slowed due to an internal issue which has now been resolved. Please could you try again over the weekend when everything should have caught-up and things may be quiet enough for the export to succeed within the time limit.

But I can't get a copy of just the titles and ratings by date, as before, It's listing web addresses and is quite messy. I also can't copy and "paste special" without formatting. I don't see how to get it into the lists I need. Anyway, it's there, and that's something.

3 lists of sizes 2,853, 10,000 & 22,881 titles successfully exported. The largest (ratings) needed two attempts but it struggled through.
It has taken over two years and many users and staff blaming me, my ISP and location as the reason for exporting failure but now it is clear; it was IMDb software all along.
On further analysis the new export file sizes are half that of previous and only have 12 columns of info versus 16 in the old. Missing is:
Directors
You rated
Release Date (month/day/year)
URL
I could live without all these except "You rated".
But where has the compact view of lists gone? Jeez you fix one thing but remove/break another.
Merry Xmas.
