In general, I've had a good experience with IMDb, IMDb Pro, and Withoutabox, but now I'm having an issue with Withoutabox (WAB) that I can't seem to get resolved via the Help Desk, and I don't understand why.
SHORT STORY
I asked for a festival submission to be deleted, and they deleted the wrong one. I asked twice for them to reinstate the submission that they deleted by mistake, and got responses indicating that they think the problem is resolved, but the submission still doesn't appear in my Submissions list on WAB. I need that submission reinstated (and I no longer need the one in my original request deleted, if it has not been deleted yet).
DETAILS OF THE SUBMISSION THAT WAB DELETED BY MISTAKE
Festival: After Hours Say It In Eight Student Film Festival
Film: The Great Wonton Caper
Order Number: 9339664
Tracking Number:17-121
Date of Order: Sat Mar 25 16:08:16 PDT 2017
User id: 3104764
There is nothing in my original request that asked for the above to be deleted.
My request now: I need the above to be reinstated (and no other action taken).
FURTHER DETAILS
On March 25, I sent an inquiry to the Help Desk asking them to delete one of my submissions to a different festival (London-Worldwide Comedy Short Film Festival). They didn't do it, and instead they deleted one of my three submissions to After Hours Say It In Eight Student Film Festival (response was from "Claire, The IMDb Help Desk").
On March 31, I sent an inquiry to the Help Desk to reinstate the submission that they deleted by mistake. I received a response (from "Ava, The IMDb Help Desk") saying "I have reviewed our records and your account and confirm the withdrawal was for the referenced submission: The Great Wonton Caper to the After Hours Say It In Eight Student Film Festival." But that is mistaken because my March 25 inquiry never referenced the After Hours Say It In Eight Student Film Festival.
On March 31, I sent another inquiry to the Help Desk to try to clear up the confusion and get this matter resolved. I received a response (from "Trevor, The IMDb Help Desk") saying "The submission to the After Hours Say It In Eight Student Film Festival is still active and is currently waiting to be tracked received by the festival." While I see that the two remaining unaffected submissions to that festival are still intact, the submission that was mistakenly deleted, as referenced above, still does not appear in my Submissions list.
I really don't know what to do at this point, as it seems nobody is able to help. The question remains, is it possible or not possible to get a submission reinstated that was mistakenly deleted by WAB staff? Maybe there's an Escalations department that can look into this? Or should I just give up?
As for my original deletion request of March 25 (for the London festival), I no longer want that submission deleted because I've come to understand that the submission fee was too low for me to get a refund.
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer. Regards,
Hans Lachman
