Unable to inaccurate delete credits from personal IMDb page

Hey folks, I've had IMDb credits for a while and recently when adding some credits for projects, the corrections team merged my page with the page of another Alexander Powell who's sole credit is working as a production intern on "The Crucible." I submitted the edit for IMDb to separate or delete the credit multiple times and nothing has happened. I kind of need to have an accurate IMDb for portfolio/website links, any tips on how to get someone's attention to fix this permanently?

Additionally, I have a few high school films that exist solely on my IMDb profile and I would like to have them deleted from the profile because, as mentioned, they're high school video projects that were submitted to festivals through withoutabox and I got over excited about getting IMDb credits as a teenager. If any IMDb team members are reading, please please please help me be free of this credit for "The Crucible" and some of my silly high school projects!

Hi Ed, thanks for pulling this up- I guess my confusion though in the case of this "Crucible" credit is that it is inaccurate? Like it is literally a different person and I couldn't have theoretically been there to work on the film as a one year old production intern. (the high school credits are technically accurate, as much as I may dislike it, but I haven't tried to anything about those in a while). Is my best course of action to be sparing with my future editing entries in the hopes of not knocking down my accuracy rating by accident?

The 'Crucible' probably belongs to an actor with the same name as you. That one you could delete. That is easy to prove because of the age thing.

That's my main issue: I keep asking them to delete or move this production intern's credit to a different page (citing the age) and the claims have been ignored for several months =/

Hi Alex,

I have moved the production intern credit to a new page however Ed's response is correct, it is our longstanding policy not to alter or remove correct factual information from our records.

Will

Hi Will, thanks so much for looking into this- I definitely understand the policy on factual info, so thank you for taking the time to correct the incorrect credit from "The Crucible" so now I can say that my profile is accurate. I know you all have a lot to sort through so thanks for responding to this forum. Thank you again! -Alex
