I'm not being allowed to verify my account through text messages. I have tried four or five times now and never receive anything back. I refuse to give my credit card information for something like this regardless if I'm going to be charged or not. I have a Sprint phone and would like this problem resolved if at all possible.

Unfortunately, that thread indicates that it is resolved, but the resolution was, "we are not aware of any problems with authentication". As evidenced by these help pages, numerous users are reporting continued problems with the authentication process (over the course of the last several months), so now you are aware, IMDB :)
I figured I would post on this thread as well as the previous one, just in case the help employees no longer check "resolved" threads.
To reiterate, I am a Sprint user located in the southeastern US. My phone is sending/receiving texts normally (I tried from another cell phone immediately after struggling with the authentication process, and texts came through right away).

I am wondering if Olivia and/or Carlo have found some sort of resolution to this issue, as is nearly a week later and I am having this same problem
I have made numerous attempts without ever receiving an SMS code. There are definitely no issues with my phone.
I am new to all this, but since IMDb seem to offer little to no direct support for their members, I really hope they utilize this website. One has to question, however, why they would look at this, if they will not offer any direct troubleshooting support?
IMDb please read this and take appropriate action!!

It'd be an idea to post on the other thread too, it might be marked as resolved but if people keep reporting it (add as many details as you can) and +1ing the problem, as this will help force a re-evaluation.

I'm with sprint same issue. No help or resolution. I have never had an account and my phone works fine.

Just sent a message to the help desk.. Don't know if it will help or not... but +1 this thread... it's kind of annoying not to be able to have access to everything on the site.
