Uncredited cast member's character names need some attention

First, I have to wonder why it is so hard to change uncredited cast member's character names, especially when it involves normalizing the capitalization per IMDb Rules. I don't know how these credits get approved in the first place as they aren't per the guidelines.

My first problem is with the movie Greta. There exists the following credit:

Verroca, Frankie             kind Man on bus                  (uncredited)

I tried, twice, to correct it to the following to follow the guidelines. The latest edit was 200516-154341-403000

Verroca, Frankie             Kind Man on Bus                  (uncredited)

The second one is with a nonsensical credit in the movie The Sun Is Also a Star which has the following credit:

Scudder, Carol (I)           Receptionist/Immig. Office   (uncredited)

This credit doesn't make a lot of sense to begin with as this person likely didn't play two different roles but played a single role as the Receptionist at the Immigration Office. She obviously isn't an Immigration Office. :D

I tried to correct it to the following. The last edit was 200516-154500-855000

Scudder, Carol (I)          Receptionist at the Immigration Office        (uncredited)

Not arguing that particular case, but to chime in on the subject: oddities happen.

Although... I wanted to bring the famous example of a role being stated as 'Coffee Shop' in the credits of Pulp Fiction (1994) only to discover it disappearing from the cast list for no reason, while remaining in Crazy Credits

Facepalm, since Robert Ruth has two credited roles in the end credits:

Not only that, Dick Miller, who is credited and properly should have "(scenes deleted)" attribute is deleted from the cast list.

I'm sorry, I'm in awe and anger. Someone just vandalized a cast list of a well-known A-list mainstream movie with known exceptions often used an example, tarnishing guidelines in the process.

There's a pretty huge difference here though. Your case is actually credited and should be listed as credited. This is an uncredited case and most likely some weird attempt at abbreviation. I'm not concerned too much whether that credit gets fixed (though I believe it should be fixed as stated from viewing the movie). My bigger concern is why character names that aren't properly formatted are accepted and why it is so hard to correct them. (And, this really only applies to feature films as TV episodes are fairly easy to correct.)

As I've said, not arguing that particular case, but oddities do happen from time to time, credited or else.
