Unfair means to feature higher in the external reviews

In the external reviews, I have noticed it many times that some users use unfair means to feature higher on the list like changing the name of the site from say "The..." to "A..." or appending a numeral as a prefix, etc. Is there a way to permanently keep a check on it ?

Review sites are meant to be listed in alphabetical order based on the actual name of the site/publication. If you are aware of cases where the name is deliberately mis-represented or rendered in a way that is meant to affect their placement, I'm sure our editors would be happy to know about them so that they may review and take appropriate action.

Dear Henry,

Here are a few Hindi movie sites that do it on purpose time and again (I am often forced to use the edit page option to get it corrected... some of them are not even review sites but rating sites which add their links so as to divert traffic):

1).  http://thebandwidthreview.blogspot.in/
2).  http://top10wala.in/
3).  http://www.bollymoviereviewz.com/
4).  http://thereviewmonk.com/

There are other sites as well. I will report them too if I notice any such deliberate mis-representation in the future.

Dear Editors,

I would like to bring your attention to two sites which are deliberately misrepresenting their titles in order to feature higher in the IMDb list of external reviews. One of these sites has only recently emerged while the other has been existing for some time and each time around (for Bollywood Films), adds "A Big" to prefix their actual title "Movie Hub" as this allows it to feature higher.

Also, these sites are primarily information sites which offer movie summaries at best (the content is of poor quality and mostly plagiarized. These sites are Movies Hub (it's is being misrepresented as A Big Movie Hub) and Bolly Arena (it's being misrepresented as A Bollywood Arena Review).

I request IMDb editors to take strict actions against these two sites and ban the respective user accounts so that the same is not repeated. Now, every time I submit the data for correction, they once again re-submit their misrepresented data which often create duplicate enteries. All can be screen in the screenshot attached.

Thanks & Regards,
Murtaza Ali

Dear Editors,

Something really urgent needs your attention. I would like to yournotice the fact that someone changed my name from "Murtaza Ali Khan" to "Chutiya Ali Khan" in my IMDb entry for Fan (2016). Now, "Chutiya" is a expletive commonly used in the Hindi language. This is causing great harm to my reputation online. I have little reason not to believe that that it is being done by a guy named Abdullah who runs a site called http://www.01movieshub.com. This guy posts his posts by the fake name of "A Best Art [By Josh]".

In the past, I have made several complaints to the IMDb editors regarding this but to no avail. No action has so far being taken against this guy. He is a troll and posts content with fake links. The content is also plagiarized and of extreme poor quality.

If he is not checked then he will continue to do this which is certainly not acceptable. I urge the IMDb editors to ban this account at the earliest possible.

Thanks & Regards,
Murtaza

I have also reported this guy in the past. He is not a critic, and none of his posts could be considered reviews in any normal understanding of the term. Adding his links hurts the reputation of genuine online film writers like myself and Murtaza. His latest tactic leads me to believe he may well be a child.

Editors,
IMDB is a place where cinema lovers all over the world get together to discuss and experience the value of the shared entertainment that cinema provides. That happens bcos IMDB has credibility. But that credibility wont last if the editors are not careful about unfair activities.
Murtaza Ali Khan is an established film critic in India. His work on cinema theory and criticism is respected the world over. But a person by the name of Abdullah has vandalised his account by replacing his first name with a cuss word in Hindi/Urdu - Chutiya. Which is not just demeaning to him personally, but also to the values that this esteemed website stands for.
Please see to it that proper action is taken against this vermin going by the name of Abdullah. Or else, people who actually matter would lose their faith in the credibility of your site.
Regards,
Dev.

Dear Editors,

I suggest IMDB blacklist any user/member who uses expletives to defame/abuse another user/member, as Murtaza Ali has reported with detailed evidence.

Editors,

IMDB should not be taking things for granted, Credibility is hard to earn and easy to lose. I understand that it might be difficult for you to catch such act proactively due to language barrier but you should at least act actively once such things reported.

Please take stiff action against such people.

thanks//Saurabh

Dear Editors,

Just check out this screenshot from the external review page of Fan. The same gentleman from http://www.01movieshub.com has posted multiple entries with different names. Both first (1st Best Critic) as well as third (A Best Art) entries are posted by him. It is really disconcerting that IMDb is doing nothing to sort it out.

Dear Michelle,

Please go through the first two entries. They are fake and created by the same user (hubyoutube.com). In fact, the third entry is also pointing towards the same site. I appeal that such users should be immediately banned by the editors.

Dear respected S/M!

I am owner of the www.01movieshub.com. Monday 27 June 2016 I checked this list of complaints from Murtaza Ali and signed-up in this forum because of listed below reasons.

1: First of all I respect very much Murtaza Ali because he was the boy who write 1st comment on my site from the first day of my site he became the most valuable visitor to my site.

2: I accept that I had made some mistakes during submiting external reviews.

3: Nobody can be perfect with 100% efficiancy even with his own work, Murtaza Ali also made many mistakes (I have many proofs) but I don't want to tell anyone because it's the process of learning.

4: Murtaza Ali said (((I would like to bring your attention to two sites which are deliberately misrepresenting their titles in order to feature higher in the IMDb list of external reviews. One of these sites has only recently emerged while the other has been existing for some time and each time around (for Bollywood Films), adds "A Big" to prefix their actual title "Movie Hub" as this allows it to feature higher.)))

So actually if you see underlined words from his written text "A Big" to prefix their actual title "Movie Hub" actually my sites actual title is 01movieshub.com which is not acceptable for my dear Murtaza Ali because according to alphabetically rules my site will up in the list from his site so basically he is lying I proved that.

5: I swear I had not, have not, will not ever change Murtaza Ali site real name. If IMDB database still have the record of all activities from external reviews section they can check who changed his name.

I've been complaining about this too, and IMDB seem to have given up taking down the dodgy sites. It's so disheartening.
