The title Werk ohne Autor (2018) has a country "France: French title", which is never used in practice (this was the first and only time I saw this country with associated "French title"). One normally just uses "France" for France. I did a submission to correct that (190623-204516-085000), but it has been declined. Why?

Hi Vinc17,

The reason this shows as France (French title) is because both the country and specific language has been set on this title. While more useful for display purposes when handling countries that have multiple languages, the information is still factual and as a result any deletion/correction attempts will be rejected by an editor.

It's worth noting, doubling up like this can only be updated by an IMDb editor as the submission form does not include the necessary fields.

I hope this helps.

Thanks,

Joel

This is annoying because this is not consistent with the other titles. Moreover, one cannot correct the title: the form says "Sorry, it's not possible to correct this item directly. You will have to delete it and add a new item instead." But then the correction is rejected by the editor.

FYI, the title "L'Oeuvre sans auteur" does not follow the capitalization rules for France on the IMDb. It should be "L'oeuvre sans auteur".

Hi vinc17 -

Thanks for your feedback.  I have now corrected the grammar on the French title.  Cheers!
